Congratulations to Abraham Aiyash State Rep District 4

Congratulations to Abraham Aiyash for his victory in the race to replace the late State Representative Isaac Robinson in District 4.  Coming in first out of 13 candidates took a lot of hard work and effort from his team.

Abraham Aiyash District 4
www.voteaiyash.com

Tawanna Simpson ran a tactical campaign and placed 3rd out of 15 candidates. Congratulations to her on the effort she put into the campaign.  We endorsed Tawanna and, our efforts fell short of our goal.  Team Simpson wants to thank all of those who voted for her.

Issues like expungement of marijuana crimes, Detroit City Airport expansion to include an educational and commercial complex are some of the causes that Isaac would have fought for. We hope you do a even better job that he did to improve our neighborhood.

We wish him well and, we hope that Mr Aiyash will work well to represent the best interests of the neighborhood..

Vote straight Blue on or before November 3rd, 2020 8pm.

Rest in Power Isaac Robinson, Your Work Will Not Be in Vain

From a constituent of  Representative Isaac Robinson

We the people have lost our representative in Lansing. Isaac Robinson was a Detroit sports fan like the rest of us. You would see him in our neighborhoods and at Detroit Lions football games. This is a huge loss for us in District 4 and the State of Michigan. In his own way, Isaac Robinson is currently leading the charge to fight the corona virus.

He would have supported the fight by bringing aircraft into and out of Detroit City Airport(KDET) with gloves, masks, ventilators, and testing kits. These supplies would be rapidly deployed into the neighborhoods to be used at recreation centers like Lasky Rec and, church parking lots by licensed medical professionals. By utilizing City Airport, identifying a virus would be much faster so that a vaccine may be developed. Products manufactured and, shipped to hot-spots in the world from Detroit would help ignite an economic recovery that would benefit everyone. We feel his spirit saying to us it is time to use every asset available in the City of Detroit to bring a solution to this problem.

To manufacture the needed equipment you need people to make it work. In order to hire them they have to pass a drug test for #Covid19 and #Cannabis.  Given the need for workers to make the things we need, Rep Robinson would have asked for an executive order from the Governor to remove all penalties for testing positive for marijuana use as a condition of employment. This would accomplish the goal of stimulating the economy by removing another barrier to employment to anyone who wants to work.

Our needs in the District will never go away. The speaker of the Michigan House of Representatives is now in charge of our votes and, we need a voice in Lansing so that our voices will never be silenced.  From now until December 31st, 2020, we are in a war for survival with our leader in the wings directing the team. Therefore we the people must finish his work by making sure that the legislation he championed for gets signed into law.

Isaac's List
  • Expungement of Marijuana penalties from a persons record and, their use as a condition of employment.
  • Equity on Auto Insurance Rates
    • Statewide flat rate reforms
  • Fixing the Damn roads
    • Fix  our Damn street with Hempcrete!
      • Hamtramck Drive around the General Motors Plant. and
      • Oakland Avenue in Highland Park MI with the help of Senator Adam Hollier's constituents and friends
  • Preventing Hazardous Waste from being dumped in our neighborhood

Therefore take the time to contact Governor Whitmer and, all the Michigan legislators in Lansing Michigan while you are sheltering in place.

Call, email or click submit because we the people are tired of it.

We the people will get the work of Issac to the house of the law in the land by; hitting the home run, making the shot from the 3 point line, sending a one timer from the blue line, putting it in on a penalty kick or, scoring on a end run because, now is the time to get the job done.

At 12:00pm and on 4:20pm during the month of April 2020, make sure you transmit your website responses by clicking the submit button on the Governor's or Speaker of the Michigan Senate website contact form.  If enough of you click the submit button at the same time while you are sheltering in place, they will get the message loud and clearly.

Gov Gretchen Whitmer

Science and education go together because like any virus, whether its on a computer or a biological one it must be defeated.

Otherwise,
Rest in Power Isaac Robinson your spirit will always be with us.

Highland Park Michigan was the epicenter of the Automobile Industry and modern transportation.  The first paved road in America evolved because of work that was done here. Ford Motor Company  would  not exist today because of the Model-T manufacturing. George and friends will be there to film testimony for the record. The old Ford Building is a historical gem that must be preserved and re-purposed for 21st century use.

by Friends of Cushingberry

During a divorce,  the symptom of "Baby Mama Drama" with a spouse reaches an all time high with two people dogging each other out and, children are caught in the middle of it. Often times a spouse feels that there is no one to turn to that will listen to their issue.  The good news is that there are many places in Detroit that provide legal help to citizens who are going through a divorce with the children. All of them are free of charge and just takes a few moments of your time to utilize their services. If you have any questions on these programs please contact the coordinator of each program. From August until the end of the year, organizations like the United Auto Workers and others are assisting people in need legal services regarding their children.  These dates are not just for August 2016 because the hyperlinks and information are good all year round. Light up District 2 by 2015 - A Three year plan for City of Detroit residents by the Public Lighting Authority

View the Plan by (Clicking on this City of Detroit Link) to see when your lights will be changed out by the PLA in Zip Code order.

Sights and Sounds of District 2
Changes in District 2 coming right at you..

From the PLA:
The Public Lighting Authority of Detroit (PLA) has launched its aggressive three-year plan to relight the city of Detroit.
Following the completion of two pilot areas, one on the east side and one on the west side of the City, the PLA has initiated its zip-code-by-zip code construction schedule to be completed by the end of 2016.

The PLA is replacing all old High Pressure Sodium lights with Light Emitting Diode (LED) lights with brightness the equivalent
of 150 watts, more than twice as bright as the sodium lights.

Lighting Plan
• Blocks 300ft and below in length, will have a light on every street corner.

• Blocks  between 301ft and 700ft in length will have a light on every street corner and one light in the middle of every block.

• Blocks between 701ft and above in length will have a light on every street corner and two or more lights in the middle of every block.

As the PLA completes installation of the new lights in a ZIP Code, it will take over responsibility for maintaining those lights, with a commitment to repair a broken light within five days of being notified of the outage.

For more information, to see the updated schedule by zip code, details on alley light replacements or to report an outage of a new LED light, residents can log onto www.pladetroit.org or email us at info@pladetroit.org or call the Public Lighting Authority at 313-324-8290.
